Biggest Sports Events of 2024

2024 features the biggest sports event of them all, as the 2024 Olympic Games takes place in Paris – with the city becoming just the second after London to host three Summer Olympics, having previously hosted in 1900 and 1924.

2024 will also be a bumper year for international football, with the postponed 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany and 2024 Copa América in Ecuador all taking place.

The United States will host its first major cricket tournament, by co-hosting the 2024 T20 World Cup along with the West Indies. The biggest event in Sailing, the America’s Cup will take place on the waters of Barcelona in Spain and to be defended by Team New Zealand.
